How much is your business overpaying?

If you’re shopping around for a new contract, or staring down a renewal, this is the question worth answering first. Slide the sliders to your real usage and see what your phone lines, calls and features shouldcost — at the wholesale rates we pay, with nothing added on top — against what most providers charge. No sign-up. No sales call. Just the maths.

Your monthly bill
£153

You pay £149 a month and your calls at the wholesale rate we pay — no per-call markup. The more you call, the more you save, because we never take a cut.

On your numbers, you’d pay £153 a month on Membership instead of about £220 on a typical UK VoIP provider — saving roughly £67 a month (about £799 a year, 30% cheaper).

With one number per line, the typical £15 seat, £5 number rental and £8 feature licence total £28 per line. Membership becomes cheaper at 6 lines before call charges. Fewer numbers or cheaper plans move that crossover higher; calls are extra on Membership.

Estimate only. Retail figures use the published median across bOnline (£9.95–£15.50/user), Voipfone (£20), Vonage UK (£15), Yay (£15), Nimvelo (£15), CircleLoop (£15) and Sipgate (£12.95) and RingCentral (£19.99 Standard), Dialpad (£12), BT (£15, rising £1 every April) and Virgin Media Business (£27.50/line); larger players like Gamma sell through resellers on a quote basis, so there’s no public per-seat price to show. Plus £8/number for recording/IVR/voicemail add-ons (typical UK SME pricing — Voipfone £5–£8/number, SwitchboardFREE £14.96, Callagenix £34.20; feature licences attach to the number not the user), £5/number rental (number-only providers can look cheaper on the bare number, but watch the ramp-up — Telecoms World's headline 99p 0800 number is 99p for the first month then £9.99/month thereafter, a tenfold jump; TTNC £2.53 — but that’s one basic number, with call recording, IVR, voicemail, queuing and hunt groups all charged as separate bolt-ons that Membership includes), £10/SIP channel. Most rivals bundle an “unlimited” fair-use call allowance at this tier — we model that as 2,000 mins/line/mo combined UK landline + mobile, with overage at 5p/min landline and 12p/min mobile. Membership uses our published wholesale rates — 0.3138p/min landline, 0.6353p/min mobile — passed straight through. VAT excluded throughout. Competitor prices are their published list prices as of June 2026 and may have changed since — follow the links to check. Real bills depend on provider, contract length and features picked.

Why these numbers are checkable, not marketing

The call costs here aren’t a figure we invented to look cheap. They’re the wholesale rate BT charges — a regulated rate agreed by Ofcom — which we pass straight through with no margin added. You can see the full rate card on our call rates page. That’s what “at cost” actually means: a number you can verify, not a promise you have to trust.

We make our money on a single flat membership fee — not on your calls, not on markups, not on locking you in. If you want to understand why the rest of the industry works the other way, start with this.

Like what the maths says?

Membership is a flat £149/month, no minimum term, cancel whenever you like, and we port your existing numbers in for free. No commission, no lock-in, nothing to upsell.
